  5:00pm -  “Family Fun Night.”  Free hot dogs, soda, games, and prizes at the Oppenheimer Playground, North 2nd Street.
6:00pm - Quadraleague Baseball Tournament at the North 4th Street Recreational Complex

Friday, July 11

 6:00pm - Quadraleague Baseball Tournament at North 4th Street Recreational Complex

7:00pm – 10:00pm - Free Splash Hop and Ice Skating. Free hot dogs and soda at the Youth & Community Center Swimming Pool & Ice Rink
7:00pm – 10:00pm - Music by Billy D & Rosie 50’s & 60’s band (4th Street Stage beside ice rink )


Saturday, July 12

  8:00am –  Sunday  Girl’s ASA Softball State Championship at John O. Long, Sunbury Municipal Authority, Donald Miller
and Allen M. Wolfe Fields

10:00am –  Quadraleague Baseball Tournament & Food Stand at David L. Persing, Merle H. Phillips, Donald Miller and Coach Pitch Fields

10:00am (David L. Persing Recreation Complex) -  Coca Cola Blow Up Games (Free), Scholl’s Amusement (Rides & Games), Food Vendors (Fort Discovery parking lot), Crafters (located on 4th Street), Hurr’s Ice Cream (Free ice cream for all children under 18 yrs. of age)

11:00am - Dunking Booth (Shikellamy Cheerleaders),  Children's Activities (YMCA and Sunbury Playground Staff), Spin Art (Community Bank), Horse Rides and photos (Random Canyon Therapeutic Riding Center), Chicken BBQ (Rescue Hose Company) and Pork Sandwiches (Sunbury Eagles).

Sunday, July 13

Sixth Annual Soapbox Derby at Market and 10th Streets (Rain Date July 20). Boys and Girls ages 8-12 with a weight limit of 125lbs.  Soapbox cars will be provided by area businesses and individuals.

Soapbox Registration forms available at Mayor’s Office & Police Department (Monday thru Friday 9:00- 4:00 pm). Or click here for a form online!

9:00 am - 10:30 am  - All racers must sign & weigh in no later than 10:30 am.  Because of the time change to this year’s event racers are encourage to pre-register. Registrations accepted on race day from 9:00-10:30 am.

11:00 am - Start of Race.  All racers receive medallion and free t-shirt. Kevin Herr and Eric Long (Race Announcers), Shikellamy JROTC (pit crew) and Food Sale by (Project F.A.I.T.H.). Following the race a trophy presentation for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in each age group. 

Monday, July 14

8:00pm - City of Sunbury's Strand & Rialto Movie Theaters present "A Princess Bride". Bring your lawn chairs for this outdoor movie experience at the Oppenheimer Playground on North Second Street in Sunbury.  Be there at 8 PM for prizes and free popcorn, Coke and ice cream. Movie will start at 8:45 PM and kids are encouraged to dress up in their favorite princess outfit for the event.
