LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg Children’s Museum is introducing a new monthly sensory-friendly evening called Discovery After Dark. The free program offers a calmer environment for children and families who benefit from reduced stimulation.
Each session includes hands-on learning, interactive exhibits, and a take-home activity — this month, kids can make homemade lava lamps. Discovery After Dark is made possible through the Special Olympics Young Athletes program and the United Way of the Susquehanna Valley.
Organizers say a new Special Olympics Young Athletes program will also launch soon at the Selinsgrove Library, offering another inclusive, play-based opportunity for area families.
