MUNCY — An early-morning fire damaged one of three production buildings at Muncy Homes in Muncy Creek Township. Fire Chief Scott Delany says a maintenance worker discovered the blaze around 4am. Smoke was pouring from a doorway when firefighters arrived, but they had it under control within 30 minutes.
Extensive overhaul work followed to ensure no hot spots remained. The fire was confined to a building at the rear of the complex. No injuries were reported. A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause. Crews from several area departments helped battle the blaze.
