MIDDLEBURG — A Midd-West Elementary School aide is accused of kicking a 5-year-old child with special needs. The Daily Item reports 43-year-old Nina Edkin Billhime of Middleburg faces charges of simple assault and harassment.
Police say the incident happened and was witnessed by other adults in the classroom. Edkin Billhime was employed by Bayada as the child’s aide and caretaker, allegedly kicked the student to the floor, causing him to cry out in pain. Daily Item reports, Bayada has suspended her pending the police investigation.
