MIFFLINBURG — Attempted murder charges filed in a Union County stabbing.
In the Mifflinburg area, state police say a man was stabbed during a heating-bill dispute at a Buffalo Road property night. Troopers say 68-year-old Robert David Kitchens confronted tenant Terry Day Jr. before stabbing him twice in the chest and once in the arm.
Authorities say Day fled to a neighbor’s home for help and was taken to Geisinger for treatment. Kitchens, who suffered a medical episode, remains at Evangelical and faces attempted homicide and related charges. Police say the knife was described as a paring knife.
