HARRISBURG — State leaders and hunters gathered in Harrisburg recently for a town hall-style meeting focused on balancing wildlife management and agriculture. The discussion brought together the state Department of Agriculture, PA Game Commission, the state Farm Bureau, Hunters Sharing the Harvest, and hunters.
Officials outlined expanded hunting and proposed updates to the Certified Hunter and Agricultural Deer Control programs. They say the efforts aim to reduce crop damage while increasing venison donations to food banks. Hunters in attendance were invited to speak and offer comments.
