MONTANDON — In Montandon, a fire was reported around 10am at a two-story double home in the 400 block of Main Street, Route 45. William Cameron Engine Company Chief James Blount says one occupant outside the residence was transported for possible smoke inhalation.
Blount says firefighters made entry and contained the fire to the building of origin. The blaze extended into the walls and attic, affecting both residences. Crews remained on scene for about three hours. A state police fire marshal is investigating the cause, and Route 45 was closed between Route 405 and Housels Run Road during the response.
The Daily Item reports the homeowner, Patricia Fox, was at work at the time of the fire.
