The Daily Item reports a Lewistown woman has been charged following an assault in Mifflinburg. 46-year-old Karla Lynn Cornwell was charged for the incident on February 13th. It was initially reported as an assault and attempted kidnapping, but the newspaper reports the attempted kidnapping could not be verified because the reporting party refused to cooperate. Police were called to 32 E. Chestnut Street for an assault. Cornwell was charged with punching a 24-year-old Middleburg man during the incident.
