SHAMOKIN DAM — Citizens have a chance to meet some first responders in Snyder County.
Shamokin Dam area residents can meet local first responders , from 9am to 12pm. The event takes place at the Shamokin Dam Fire Department, 3343 North Old Trail. New Police Chief Scott Davis and Fire Chief John Shirk will welcome residents.
Organizers say the gathering offers a chance to connect with police officers and firefighters. Police and fire vehicles will be on site for photos and up-close viewing. Officials say the event is designed to strengthen relationships between the borough and the community.
