The Daily Item reports 10 body cameras will be used by correctional officers at the Union County Jail. Warden Ryan Boatman spoke about the cameras at the public meeting of the county commissioners on Tuesday. The newspaper reports Boatman is working to install the software and set up the 10 Halo Horizon Body Cameras for use. The commissioners previously approved the purchase of the software and cameras at a cost of $19,440 over three years.
