JUNIATA COUNTY — WHTM is reporting… A fatal deer drive shooting in Milford Township, Juniata County, leads to charges against a 20-year-old hunter. The state Game Commission says 20-year-old Anthony Peachey II of McAlisterville is charged with a misdemeanor count of shooting at, injuring, or killing a human being.
Investigators say Peachey fired at a deer December Second off Vincent Tram Road. Authorities say the shot fatally struck 26-year-old Floyd Wengerd in the right hip. A state game warden writes in the complaint that Peachey fired in poor visibility without knowing others’ positions.
