SHAMOKIN — The News Item reports a Shamokin man is behind bars for allegedly attempting to flood the Shamokin police station and exposing himself to officers after being detained on Feb. 15.
34-year-old Hoyt Norris was taken into custody for a probation violation. While in custody he allegedly kicked the door inside the police vehicle and was belligerent with officers. At the police station he allegedly used water from a toilet in a cell in an attempt to flood the station. Norris also soaked his clothes, removed them and tossed them, into the hallway.
Norris was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness and a felony of institutional vandalism.
