HUNLOCK TOWNSHIP — In Hunlock Township, Luzerne County, a 45-year-old Berwick man was killed morning in a car crash. The victim’s car crossed the center line and struck a tractor trailer. The Press Enterprise is reporting… State police say Jack Unger III was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene.
Police say the crash happened around 9:30am on Route 11 near Canal Street. Investigators say Unger was traveling north when his car entered oncoming traffic and collided with a truck. Press Enterprise reports that the truck driver had suspected minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. The crash closed the highway for a time.
