MONTOUR COUNTY — In Montour County, volunteers will gather at 8am to collect wreaths from local cemeteries following the annual Wreaths Across America ceremony. Residents who can help, even briefly, are encouraged to attend and assist with wreath removal.
Organizers say a dumpster will be available at Odd Fellows Cemetery for disposal.
They say the effort supports the mission to remember and honor veterans laid to rest across the county.
More than 300 volunteers placed 2,000 wreaths during the first local ceremony in . Since then, the effort has since expanded to all 52 cemeteries in Montour County.
