DANVILLE — Authorities say a Middleburg man threatened to kill a state trooper while receiving treatment at Geisinger Medical Center. Police say the incident happened Feb. 12 in Danville.
Authorities say 57-year-old Paul Andrew Hoffman was in Middleburg police custody at the hospital. A nurse asked if he wanted to hurt anyone, and authorities say Hoffman replied he would find a state trooper and kill him.
Investigators say Hoffman also repeated the threat to a hospital security officer during rounds. NorthcentralPA.com reports Hoffman faces terroristic threats and harassment charges and remains in Snyder County Corrections awaiting formal arraignment on .
