BERWICK — The Community Giving Foundation continues to grow and have a greater impact across the region…Leaders with the Foundation shared new numbers and future plans during their March 11 annual meeting.
Foundation President and CEO Kara Seesholtz says the organization reported a 17% investment return last year. She says the foundation awarded more than 1,000 grants and scholarships totaling $4.4 million. She says their total assets are now approaching $100 million.
Seesholtz also highlighted the growth of the Youth in Philanthropy program and partnerships with nonprofit leaders. Consultant Mike Goorhouse introduced a new framework describing the foundation’s work. The approach focuses on community endowments, donor giving services, and leadership across the region.
