Man Charged After Woman Held In Lewisburg Hotel
LEWISBURG — NorthcentralPA.com reports a Mount Carmel man allegedly held a woman against her will for several hours in a hotel room. Police say the incident followed an argument over text messages.
Buffalo Valley Regional Police say 25-year-old Gavin Dehaven was charged after officers responded around 11:30pm March 8 to a hotel in Lewisburg. Police say staff called after an anonymous report of an abduction.
Police say Dehaven blocked the victim from leaving and made threatening gestures. He told officers she was free to go but understood she was afraid to try leaving. Dehaven is charged with false imprisonment and harassment. Bail was set at $2,500, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 26.
