PennDOT Highlights Major Projects Across Central Counties
DANVILLE — PennDOT is previewing a busy construction season with several major projects across Montour, Northumberland, Union, and Snyder counties. Officials say the work focuses on roadway improvements, bridge repairs, and long-term infrastructure upgrades.
In Montour County, a $53 million I-80 restoration continues, along with the $30 million Route 54 Valley Township intersection project. Northumberland County will see resurfacing along Route 61 and Route 405.
In Union County, crews will mill and resurface I-80 westbound near White Deer. Snyder County projects include Route 522 bridge replacements. PennDOT says these projects aim to improve safety, traffic flow, and roadway durability across the region this construction season.
