DANVILLE — The Danville Area Community Center says they have received a $1,000 grant from the Aurand Family Fund. The funding will support safe, active, and fun opportunities for children who might not otherwise be able to afford them.
Heather Laubach, Chief Operating Officer at the DACC, said the grant will help offset costs for Summer Camp, Before and After School Care, and KidsKash. Laubach says the support ensures every child can participate regardless of financial circumstances.
They say the gift carries added meaning following the recent passing of longtime educator Joanne Aurand. The Aurand Family Fund continues her and Robert Aurand’s legacy of supporting children and local organizations.
