ALLENWOOD — A proposed data center project in Gregg Township is moving forward with zoning changes under review. PennLive reports PNK Group has asked supervisors to allow data centers in commercial and manufacturing districts.
Supervisors plan a May Fourth hearing, while the planning commission also reviews the request. The company will host a registered open house to share plans and gather feedback.
The project could use a nearly 500,000-square-foot building along Route Fifteen built in 2024 but never occupied. Officials note this marks the second data center proposal for Great Stream Commons after a previous project was canceled last year.
