MIFFLINBURG — John Brothers Holdings reopened a shuttered manufacturing plant, signaling new life for local industry and jobs.
The company acquired the 300,000-square-foot facility on Industrial Park Road and plans to operate it as John Brothers Wood Products.
Officials say the plant will produce structural components like roof and floor trusses, along with finish millwork. The facility closed in December 2025, displacing 175 workers, but company leaders say hiring is already underway.
President Paul John says the goal is to bring work back locally and support long-term growth. Upgrades to electrical systems, ventilation, and employee spaces are in progress.
State Senator Gene Yaw says the project could restore nearly 200 jobs and boost the regional economy. Company leaders say the investment strengthens Mifflinburg’s manufacturing base moving forward.
