AUGUSTAVILLE — Some fun fishing for kids—and veterans—this weekend.
Young anglers and veterans will get special days on the water later this month. The Little Shamokin Creek Watershed Association is hosting two free fishing events on and 26.
The Association’s Facebook page has the details, the Ted Carodiskey Memorial Youth Trout Derby begins at the Long Center at 182 Houser Road. They say youth ages 3 to 15 can register and start fishing at 9am.
Gifts, and lunch will be provided, they say a Chinese auction will also help fund trout stocking and supplies. Officials say a veteran’s fishing day follows with breakfast at 8:30am. More information is at littleshamokincreek.org.
