SUNBURY — Hundreds of thousands of dollars are being distributed to local nonprofits through a regional grant program. The Community Giving Foundation says more than $376,000 was awarded through 100 grants across several communities.
Officials say the Community Giving Foundation awarded 31 grants totaling $217,800 in Sunbury and 46 grants totaling $90,500 in Danville. They say additional funding came from the C.K. Battram Fund. Major awards include $50,000 to a community clinic, $35,000 to a dental health clinic, and $15,000 to Haven Ministry.
Officials say the grants support food access, healthcare, youth programs, and community services. They say the funding is designed to meet local needs now and in the future.
