SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY — Hundreds of volunteers came together across the Susquehanna Valley for a day of service Friday. Organizers say more than 330 people supported 38 project sites.
Susquehanna Valley United Way says volunteers worked Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union counties. They say projects included painting, landscaping, organizing, and facility improvements for local nonprofits.
Officials say the event also included mini-grants totaling more than $5,000 to support participating organizations. They say the annual Day of Action helps fill gaps in staffing and resources.
