NORTHUMBERLAND — Point Township, Northumberland County, resident Curtis Cooke has announced his candidacy for Northumberland County Sheriff in 2027. Cooke currently serves as chief deputy in the sheriff’s office and is expected to become acting sheriff when Sheriff Robert Wolfe retires later this month.
Dep. Cooke says he served 23 years with state police after graduating from the PSP Academy and later joined the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office in 2014. His campaign says he plans to focus on courtroom security, inmate transportation, warrant service, and fiscal responsibility.
