SHAMOKIN — A Shamokin man injured in a three-alarm North Franklin Street fire now faces arson charges after investigators ruled the blaze was intentionally set. The News-Item reports that police filed felony arson and related charges against 62-year-old Joseph Reichner following the May 4 fire.
The blaze displaced up to 13 people and authorities say Reichner suffered burns in the fire and was flown to Lehigh Valley’s burn center for treatment. The fire damaged multiple row homes, forced evacuations, and left several homes uninhabitable, according to investigators.
