Average gasoline prices across Pennsylvania fell more than four cents a gallon over the past week, according to GasBuddy. The statewide average now stands at four-62 a gallon. That’s still nearly 54 cents higher than a month ago and more than a dollar-30 above this time last year. In the Harrisburg area, prices dropped about five cents to four-47 a gallon. Analysts say lower oil prices briefly helped ease costs, but renewed tensions involving Iran and tight global oil supplies are keeping fuel markets volatile. With Memorial Day travel approaching, GasBuddy warns prices could climb again if oil prices continue moving higher.
