LEWISBURG — A new women’s golf tournament is coming to the Bucknell Ladies’ Golf Association and organizers say the event hopes to grow the sport locally. The “Par-Tee Time” tournament is scheduled for June 13 at the Bucknell Golf Club and will feature a fun, beginner-friendly format for women golfers of all skill levels.
Organizers say women remain underrepresented on regional golf courses despite national growth in female participation. Committee chair Carmen Terry says the event is designed to encourage more women to try golf in a welcoming environment.
The tournament includes two-person teams, prizes, raffles, contests, breakfast, lunch, and golf clinics in April led by Head Golf Pro Jesmar Matos. Participation is limited to 72 golfers. Contact Carmen Terry at
