MILTON — A Bucknell University student is helping shape plans to restore Limestone Run and improve Brown Avenue Park in Milton. Bucknell says Mason Klotz spent 10 weeks last summer studying the stream’s water quality, habitat conditions, and overall ecosystem health.
Researchers say the limestone-fed stream could support native trout and future environmental education opportunities. Bucknell says Klotz developed the restoration plan with Ecology Center experts Sean Reese and Benjamin Hayes.
The project will be presented to Milton Borough Council leaders as future park improvements move forward. Researchers say the goal is to create a healthier stream and stronger community space near the elementary school.
