SELINSGROVE — Route 522 was blocked for a short time Monday morning. A McVeytown man escaped injury after his truck and trailer crashed along Route 522 in Snyder County. State police say the wreck happened around 6am near Pennsylvania Avenue in Penn Township.
Police say 56-year-old Randy Rutter was driving north on Route 522 when he approached stopped traffic and could not stop in time. Troopers say the truck went off the east side of the roadway, and the trailer struck a utility pole.
They say the vehicle then overturned. Rutter was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured, according to state police. Fire, EMS, and a towing company assisted at the scene.
