LEWISBURG – Union County is preparing for a major celebration of America’s 250th birthday this summer.
Organizers say the Union County Veterans’ Fourth of July Committee and America250PA–Union County are planning events across the county.
The celebration includes a patriotic decorating contest, a Union County photo contest, and special “Happy 250th, America!” shirts. Organizers say RiverStage Community Theatre will also present “1776: The Musical” in Lewisburg.
A community concert, drone light show, and fireworks display are planned , at Wolfe Field. The Veterans’ Gala Parade steps off , at 10am, followed by train rides from Lewisburg to Winfield. ucveterans4thofjuly.org
