DANVILLE — Community Giving Foundation: Danville is celebrating 72 local students receiving more than $210,000 in scholarships. Foundation officials say the awards support students pursuing many educational and career paths.
The foundation hosted about 250 guests at The Barn at Frosty Valley for its third annual scholarship event. Students, families, board members, and donors gathered to recognize this year’s recipients.
Kara Seesholtz and Amber Hughes spoke about philanthropy and the value of investing in local students. Foundation officials say the scholarships are made possible through families, individuals and organizations that created funds for future community leaders.
