NORTHUMBERLAND — A long-running Pineknotter-area tradition returns to Northumberland later this month. Northumberland Police say the 26th Annual Soap Box Derby Race is .
The race will be held in the 400 block of King Street. Police say it is a non-sanctioned, fun race using official soap box derby cars.
The cars are provided for participants through the police department, Pineknotter Days Association, and area businesses. Each racer will receive a race-day T-shirt.
The cost to participate is $1. Waivers are available online, on the borough website and at the borough office.
