SELINSGROVE — The Daily Item reports an area fire police group has a new vehicle to respond to calls and help with traffic control.. Selinsgrove Fire Police said that they purchased a fully-equipped 2026 Chevy 2500 truck with contributions from local businesses, organizations, churches and individuals.
The newspaper reports Dauntless Hook & Ladder Fire Co. volunteer Jason Kaufman said he began reaching out for donations last September and within two months raised $74,000 for the vehicle. The fire police contributed $20,000 toward the purchase of the truck.
