Demolition of the Historic Slifer House is underway in Lewisburg. Despite public opposition, crews began tearing down the 165-year-old Slifer House on Wednesday. The demolition can be seen by motorists passing on River Road. The Slifer House is owned by Asbury RiverWoods and Albright Care Services. Michelle Curnow, Senior Vice President of Sales and Brand for Asbury, said, “RiverWoods is moving forward with plans that prioritize long-term sustainability and the needs of RiverWoods residents.”
