RICKETTS GLEN STATE PARK — WOLF-TV reports a 75-year-old Carlisle man died after falling at Ricketts Glen State Park. Luzerne County Coroner Dion Fernandes says the fall happened near Tuscarora Falls.
Emergency responders were called after reports that someone had fallen about 40 feet. WOLF-TV reports initial information indicated the man was unresponsive and CPR was underway when rescuers arrived.
The man was later pronounced dead, and the death remains under investigation. WOLF-TV reports additional details about what led to the fall have not been released. Park officials routinely urge caution on the Falls Trail because of steep, rocky, and slippery terrain.
