LEWISBURG — The Daily Item reports a Union County jury convicted a Mifflinburg man in a sexual assault case involving a teenage girl. The assaults happened at a Lewisburg hotel in 2022 and 2023.
The newspaper reports 45-year-old Timothy Dowhower was found guilty of 24 counts after a three-day trial. The charges included aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, sexual extortion, child endangerment, and corruption of minors.
Prosecutors say the victim was 14 when the assaults began. Dowhower was taken into custody after the verdict. The Daily Item reports he faces sentencing later before Union County Judge Michael Piecuch.
