SUNBURY — Sunbury police say a couple was charged after officers found filthy conditions inside an Edison Avenue home during a probation check. NorthcentralPA.com reports 37-year-old Justin Porter and 36-year-old Alexis Ann Houser were charged after police found an infant, six dogs and seven cats inside.
Police say officers were overwhelmed by the smell of urine and feces, and one upstairs room was covered in excrement. Officers say the infant was found unsecured in a bouncer several feet off the floor and was later placed with a family friend. Porter and Houser face child endangerment and animal cruelty charges.
