POINT TOWNSHIP — A van driver who transported special needs children is facing charges after allegedly leaving a sleeping 3-year-old autistic child inside his vehicle . The Standard Journal is reporting… Point Township Police say 64-year-old Wilbur Anoia forgot the child was in the van after returning to his home.
Police say the child was later taken to Geisinger Medical Center and diagnosed with heat exposure, heat stroke and dehydration. Temperatures were between 81 and 85 degrees at the time. Anoia was released on $25,000 unsecured bail. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for .
