DANVILLE — U.S. Congressman Dan Meuser will be visiting a lot of hospitals with large cardboard checks. He announced $9.5 million for upgrades at 11 Ninth District health care facilities.
- Geisinger receives $1 million for Danville, and $700,000 for Bloomsburg and about $1 million for Orwigsburg campus.
- CMSU Behavioral Health in Danville receives $166,000 for mobile technology and a passenger van.
- Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pottsville receives $997,000 for various updates.
- Luke’s Miners in Coaldale receives $909,000.
- Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre receives $1 million for its cogeneration engine.
- Darway Center in Forksville receives $1 million to renovate resident care areas.
Funding comes through the federal Rural Health Transformation Fund.
