Route 54 Bridge Rehabilitation Begins August 3
MONTGOMERY — Big detour coming in Lycoming County…PennDOT says the Route 54 bridge over the West Branch Susquehanna River will close August 3. The bridge connects Montgomery Borough and Muncy Creek Township, Lycoming County. Crews will replace the bridge deck and joint seals, repair curbs and complete approach work.
Traffic will detour using Route 54, Interstate 180 and Route 405. Work is expected to continue through fall, weather permitting. The contract also includes resurfacing Route 220 bridges over Quenshukeny Run in Woodward Township, Lycoming County. Drivers should expect delays and use caution.
Klondike Road Pipe Replacements Begin Tuesday
DANVILLE — Pipe replacements begin Tuesday along Klondike Road in Liberty Township, Montour County. PennDOT says work will continue through August 7. Klondike Road will close daily between Oak Grove Road and Valley West Road beginning Tuesday. The closure will run from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beginning Thursday, crews will also close Klondike Road between Valley West and Hilkert roads. That closure will continue daily through August 7, also from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Detours will use Valley West Road, Liberty Valley Road and Route 54. PennDOT says the schedule could change because of weather or unforeseen circumstances.
