HARRISBURG — There is one new measles case reported in our region. The state DEP has confirmed seven total measles cases in Northumberland County; that’s one more than the week before. One case each in Snyder, Mifflin, and Perry counties. Snyder County’s case was linked to possible public exposure at the Lowe’s store.
State health officials say none of the people who contracted measles were vaccinated. Measles spread through the air and symptoms include fever, cough, runny nose, watery eyes, and a rash.
