MOUNT CARMEL TOWNSHIP — The News Item is reporting… A woman was flown to a hospital evening after two ATVs collided in Northumberland County. First responders were called around 5 p.m. to an area east of Route 54 in an area of abandoned coal mining.
The News Item reports that Mount Carmel Township police say the crash happened several hundred yards from the highway. Firefighters brought one adult woman, who appeared unconscious, to a staging area. A second woman was able to leave a police UTV but was wearing a neck brace. No additional information is available.
