LEWISBURG — One of the region’s history groups is raising funds.
The Union County Historical Society is launching a special fundraising effort tied to America’s 250th anniversary. The organization is asking supporters to consider gifts of $250 or more to help preserve and share local history.
The society says donations support its collections, exhibits, educational programs and historic buildings. Its work focuses on stories involving Union County farms, businesses, railroads, canals and local residents.
People donating at least $250 may choose a Union County history book or a reprint of an 1868 county atlas. Other donors will receive Union County history playing cards. The Historical Society is located on South Second Street in Lewisburg. More information at www.unioncopahistory.com
