Montgomery Man Jailed in Union County, Provided False ID to Troopers

A Montgomery man has been arrested in White Deer Township, Union County. State police say they were investigating a report of a burglary on Saturday when troopers were approached by 66-year-old William Swarthout. He was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and allegedly provided false identification to troopers. State police say Swarthout was also found to have several active warrants out for his arrest. He was charged with false ID to law enforcement, drug possesion and other related charges. Swarthout was sent to Union County jail.
