CARLISLE — Several central Pennsylvania food banks will share in $400,000 being donated by GIANT for Hunger Action Month. The company says recipients include Loaves and Fishes in Selinsgrove, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and the State College Food Bank.
Huntingdon Area Food Pantry is also among the 24 organizations receiving support. GIANT says the campaign will include employee volunteer efforts and fresh-produce deliveries to regional food banks. Customers can also round up purchases at checkout or buy special reusable bags.
