NORTH CODORUS — Three police officers are dead, and two others critically injured after a shooting afternoon in York County. State police say the officers were following up on a domestic-related investigation when gunfire erupted near the community of North Codorus around 2pm.
State police commissioner Colonel Christopher Parris, said they aren’t releasing what happened at the scene or who was killed, but said the officers acted heroically:
He said the suspected shooter was killed by police, and authorities confirm there is no ongoing threat to the public. Flags are flying at half-staff in PA at this time. PA Attorney General Dave , a former York County prosecutor, said he knew the officers’ caliber and praised their service.
