SUNBURY — The Daily Item is reporting… vandals damaged Sunbury’s new StoryWalk, and officials want answers. Five panels at Fort Discovery Playground were hit within two days. Councilman Jim Eister, who oversees parks, confirmed the damage. His department is offering a $100 reward for tips. Repairs could cost up to $1,000, Eister said.The StoryWalk opened this spring after a library ribbon-cutting.
It features 20 panels from “Bear Sees Colors,” the Daily Item reports. Funding came from foundations, donors, and a city partnership.
Police are reviewing surveillance; tips can go to 570-286-4584.
