The Daily Item reports three Shikellamy graduates will be new members of the Alumni Wall of Distinction. The fifth annual ceremony will be held on Saturday at the Shikellamy High School at 2 p.m. This year’s honorees are Shikellamy graduates Dave Ritchie, Michael Stender and Bradley Shoemaker. Ritchie is a 1972 graduate, who had a 36-year teaching career at Shikellamy. He is also known on WKOK for his coverage of Shikellamy sports broadcasting. Shoemaker, a 1971 graduate, is a well known painter and art teacher at Penn State and Susquehanna University. Stender is a 2002 graduate who is the current state representative for the 108th Legislative District and a graduate of Bloomsburg University. All three will have plaques placed on the Alumni Wall of Distinction inside the high school.
