MONTOURSVILLE — In Montoursville, a man was jailed, and a woman is in the hospital, after a hostage situation and shooting. State police say the man shot a woman during a violent incident on Jordan Avenue.
Officers responded at 8:20pm to Jordan Avenue for a welfare check. State police say officers heard a gunshot after making contact inside the home and took cover. A perimeter was established, and the Williamsport Police Special Response Team assisted with the standoff.
Around 1:50am , officers made entry and found the woman with multiple gunshot wounds. Police took 43-year-old Johnnie Drummond into custody. The victim is in critical condition, Drummond is jailed.
